Whirlpool washer F9 E1

On many Whirlpool washers this means the drain took too long. Confirm it in the manual for your model, then see the Whirlpool drain guide.

Bosch dishwasher E24

Many Bosch dishwashers use E24 for a drain fault. Start with the Bosch draining guide and the filter, not a parts guess.

Codes we will not invent

GE blink patterns and older control boards change by model. The library says so instead of printing a chart that does not match your door tag.

Maintenance and cleaning

Full checklist

Dryer vent

Clean the lint screen every load and keep the outdoor hood moving. A blocked duct is both a no-heat cause and a fire risk.

Refrigerator temperatures

The FDA benchmark is 40°F or below in the refrigerator and 0°F in the freezer. A thermometer tells you more than the display. The walk-through is what temperature a refrigerator should be.

Oven and cooktop

A dirty oven is a cleaning job. An oven that will not heat is a different guide. Start with how to clean an oven when the cavity is the complaint.
